Hemis to Tsomoriri Trek

 Rated : 3.0

The trek was fine but we faced difficulty due to sudden rain. It was in the month of October. Our guide advised us to leave the rest of the trek so unfortunately we could not reach the top of the view point. Disappointedly we came back but the surroundings of us left in me an over lasting impact. Just imagine white snow, green grass, harsh desert, lake and greenery all together in one place. The camping night was great. But am surely going back there in any other season than that. The boulders sometimes tend to fall so you always must stay with your guide and adhere to what is rest. Rest everything is fine.

Wao Kabbaladurga night trek was the beautiful night journey for me and my friends. Let me tell you about my iternity, after we assembled at the starting point at around 8:30 PM, we were ready to embark upon the trails, with our Guide's instruction we started the journey at 9:00 PM and then moving arround the various trails for about four hours, we reached our destination at arround 2 AM. Many of the trekkers were tired by then and we set up our camp there, it was a great experience to spend the quality bonfire moments. Soon after two hours we were ready for our return trekking. In the entire journey i really loved the views from the peak point.

Trek To Mullayanagiri and Bababudangiri, Chikmagalur

 Rated : 3.0

Where the Mullayangiri is the highest trekking point in karnataka and suitable for all avid trekkers, the Babadudangiri range is actually a kind of pilgrimage point and popular for having some sufi shrine connections. It is unique place since both muslims and hindus has some connection, where the muslims prefer the site because of its conncetion with the saint Baba Budan and hindus have connection with Guru Dattatreya. As far as trekking is considered its a great adventure point and peope generally from the western region and from bangalore come here for trekking and camping.

We would strongly recommend that you bring with you a minimum SPF-35 sun cream, a hat, sunglasses and a comfortable. You are also advised to bring Towels and Footwear that you can wet but do not bring anything that might get damaged if accidentally it gets wet. Fruit, water, snacks all are provided. A camera is must if you want to capture the unforgettable and magical moments in the water and land that can be seen only from the waterline.

Some teachings from my past experiences would be, avoid carrying any heavy stuff with yourself and stay close with other fellow trekkers, especially while trekking uphills, take care while embarking on though terrain and always listen to your instructor. Moreover it will be great, not to make use of any earphone as well. Enjoy the morning breakfast and morning view. Over all its a perfect destination of trekking lovers.

Our Kabbaladurga night trekking took about fours to complete, it could have been completed earlier but we were taking rest at multiple places, It is a three kilometers long trek, which may sound small but actually it is not so easy, rather challenging at some points. The moonlight made the trek even more beautiful. Always follow the instructions of your trek guide which will be more helpful and do not try to go anywhere alone.

Accommodation in guest houses is also available there with wonderful facilities and also various meals are available there. There is no need to think about the meals and lodging problems if you are planning to travel there. All transportation for many valuable vehicles like Toyota Quail’s, Innova or Scorpio are also accessible in that place. So we can travel from one place to another place to watch the sceneries.

Only a single family hotel is there at the Baina, Beach, Goa where people can stay safely with their family. The Hotel is quite a decent one. The convenience and the facilities that one can get at the costly resorts is not that much available here but is much more pocket friendly. Anyway who wants a lavish room, we went there just to enjoy the place’s scenic beauty.

It took around four hours to reach to our first point, and it was a nice journey for us. We got some time to relax in the evening. Kabbaladurga night trek was my first ever trekking expedition at night that gives an opportunity to discover the beauty of mountains in moonlight. Started at night at around 9.00 PM and soon the journey completed within 3 hours. It is better to maintain the speed while trekking, since at late night temperature gets low making it uncomfortable to trek further.

Next time i hope to see some bigger food stalls and shops in the base point, since last time i had this problem. Apart from that i loved the place, the night trekking was completely unique experience for me. Tried capturing some photos but i missed the beautiful ones. I recommend everyone to carry good shoes and other preventive measures in advance so that you can complete the expedition easily.

Water sport is another attraction of that place but it must be done under the super vision of the people who are present there and abide by the instructions that given by the expert instructor. One must not even try to do it alone scenes it is a risky one.

Pros: The trek was well organized. The climate was neither humid nor too freezing. It was perfect. The trek trails were tough to trek yet not very dangerous. The whole experience was interesting. The organization of the trek plan was brilliant. We in short, has a really great trek. Cons: The food was pathetic and not that great. If the food options improved, we would have had a really better trek.

It is not every day you enter a beautiful city and experience an interesting trek. This trek is definitely one of the best treks that anyone can take. If you are visiting Sikkim, do not miss this. This is just worth every penny spent. The only drawback was that the food here is not that great to my taste buds and apart from that the staying was not that cozy.
