Our trip to Guhantara was good being the first one on Kanakapura Road. Resort maze artificial caves gave an eerie feeling of excitement. Resort facilities were standard with basic games (indoor / outdoor) available inspite of the Sunday rush. Food was average and without much options. They have 3 pools with one being the largest and most crowded, water is heavily chlorinated and can blur your vision for sometime, changing rooms are not clean and sufficient. Many games are chargeable but it's ok as we get to try them. Approach roads are not marked till you get very close to the resort. Overall a decent day out.

great trek. pros: 1. great trek with challenges - it was rainy when we started trek and for a trekker who wants to push the limits and reach the peak, it was too good.2. food - homely food and was food. is lot better than the hotel food (coloring, tasting agent) of Bangalore hotels.3. Management during trek - the way the organizers managed 45 ppl trekking was goodcons:1. The bus journey from Bangalore to Kuduremukha wasn't good at all. push back of the seats were not working, couldn't sleep properly2. Accommodation is not great, it's a home with 9 to 10 ppl sleeping in a room having 4 or 5 people capacity.if you are okey with the cons, just go for it :)

We visited the place on a public holiday and had called the resort to book in advance with them. They said that we can walk-in and book; but we wanted to be on safer side, so we booked through Thrillophilia. When we reached the resort we were surprised to see the crowd, being a public holiday lot of people had turned up. Although the overall experience was okay, the experience could have been much better if the swimming pool water had less chlorine. Simple activities like table tennis, rope walking etc. were chargeable; basically everything was chargeable apart from food and swimming pool. The best part was 'ziplining', though they charge 400 bucks would recommend it for the folks who want a thrilling experience as they take good safety measures. Food could have been much better, nothing was good except the coffee at the resort.

The stay, host, food was all very fine. But the pond was too small for water activity, I had to pay for water games, which is outside the resort called White water resort, for transportation 1200/- and each water games costed from 500/- and Safari was also payable that is transportation is 800/- and Safari is 400/-. inside the resort they had gun shooting, archery, rain water, a big tub of 5 feet for swimming. a small pond for boating.since we had already reached from Bangalore, I had no other option to pay and enjoy. Fun was full at water resort. but Safari is totally waste.... because except peacocks and deer no other animals were seen. The package list I have uploaded the pictures.see them carefully and plan to this place.approximately I had spent 10,000/- for this tour. I started from Bangalore.

We went on a weekend after getting the reviews... Though the reviews were pretty good but as far as personal experience goes it was not that good...we left for the resort on early morning on weekend which is very tough for few one like me ????... the resort is in inner Lanes of Kanakpura Highway (45 kms from Bangalore approx)Although mentioned earlier in other reviews but still the inner Lanes are not that good but still it's manageable if you have good hostages and food where you can relax and chill which was not so. Once we went there we did all the check-in formalities, post which we decided to have breakfast first and then play..The breakfast offered was of good quality where we had ample varieties like idly, vada, kesari bhat, pongal, lemon rice, bread butter and jam, tea and coffee...and for non veg ppl like eggs :) After completing our breakfast we went straight to TT court which was in not good condition neither the tt bat.. we played one rounds each and then finding it unsatisfactory we went to badminton court thinking of getting something good.. pitch was not maintained, the grass we're hugely grown.. the playing rackets were in damaged conditionthen we went to cricket ground, as there was huge rush we didn't find a suitable place to play but still we took one corner and played the same, again we found it not satisfied..Post which we decided after so many juggles, we decided we would go to pool and relax... the one pool with water fall was good except the surface was slightly damaged... and there were frog also into it...then we went to main swimming pool for which the water was not that good as was in other one... excessively chlorinated... after hours or so we freshened ourselves and went for lunch... Lunch was not at all good, may be due to excess crowd or may be due to some other reasons...after lunch we relaxed a little and then rain dance started...neither the dj nor the crowd was of standard.. Dj was playing either the old song or the local Tamil/Kannada songs.. post which we left around 4 without even taking Hi-Tea... I do not recommend people as it's not worth of money...

Plantation Stay Experience near Virajpet

First of all don't get misleaded with the pics shared here.what is shown here may not be the same when you arrive at the location. The Stay owner Karan is really a nice guy and the homestay is a decent one.It is located and surrounded by coffee plantation, paddy fields, etc but i didn't find it as good as compared to my earlier home stay experiences. My 3 rating to the homestay owner hospitality otherwise it was a ok stay for me.The food served was typical coorgi food which was just like our home food but I am highly disappointed with thrillophilia since we didn't get what is being shown here...

Wine making process and tasting was nice, only downside is the food served at the restaurant. They tell you how to hold a wine glass, how to drink it(See, swirl, sniff, sip, savor). Its a revelation for most part, being introduced to the art of Wine Tasting. The restaurant 'Epulo' at the Vineyard was average at best, food was bland and quantity was not sufficient even for 2 person. Overall good for an hours visit.

We booked this package for our 10th wedding anniversary. The overall experience was pretty good, but I felt it could have been better. Once the package was booked I was hoping for some instructions/guidance, but none was provided. My wife and I have never really involved in such photoshoots in the past and I am sure this would be the case with many couples who book this package. Basic instructions on what really happens during the day and what preparations are required would be very helpful. (How many and what are the locations; Can we change clothes in between?; if yes then how many times? etc…) I called up on the number provided and enquired about these things, but never received any response. The representative of the company who answered my call seemed very amused that I wanted to know what preparations I should do for the photoshoot! It was a bit embarrassing and I was not at all pleased with this attitude. The package mentions the timing as 9AM to 5PM, but the company asks you to choose from a morning to lunch time option or a lunch to evening option. We choose to start after lunch, so that we could get some sunset pics. The photographer who contacted us was a nice person, but he too was unfortunately not able to provide us the right information before the start of the shoot. Once we met him, only then he explained the sequence of events for the day. He had planned that we would take the first set of pics at ‘Fort Aguada’; from there he wanted to go to a garden in Panjim; then to a beach and finally a few pics near a Church. This was exactly the sort of info that would have been useful to help us plan and pick out the clothes that we could wear for each location. Also, there was no changing room at any of these places and we had to change in our car! The photographer however was very friendly and made us comfortable during the photoshoot. He stayed with us all the way till 7PM for the photoshoot and it was 9PM by the time he was able to hand us the pics in a pen drive. A quick remark on the pen drive also – The package mentions – under inclusions- that the pics would be handed over to us in a pen drive; In reality the photographer said that we would have to give him a pen drive of our own. Luckily we were carrying a spare pen drive and could copy all the pics. The quality of the pictures (he took nearly 350 pics!) themselves turned out decently good and we are happy with the results. Overall, despite the initial setbacks, we actually really enjoyed the experience.

The vineyard is tiny, about 10 acres maybe. Dried out vegetation around it. Not very romantic as such. Factory was closed when we visited so no grape stomping or bottling demo. The guided tour was very succinct, not greatly exciting either. And apparently Sula has brought out Heritage, so the tasting has Sula options. The people hosting the tasting seemed decently knowledgeable to a noob like me. I tried all three tasting packages and still didn't get buzzed, not my lucky day. The MRP store there is nice, they have some lesser known varieties and some quirky gift items and t-shirts. The restaurant is over priced and average at taste but has a pleasant ambience. The only highlight of my day is that they had all varieties of heritage wines and it was a delight to this loyal heritage fangirl!

We had difficulty in finding the location. The location mentioned in thrillophilia is inaccurate. The tour operator said that he sent proper location but we didn't get any mail or message from him. So, we followed the one mentioned in thrillophilia and reached somewhere else. We called him again and luckily he received the call this time and shared the correct location. So, after 1 hour of struggle we finally reached the location. After reaching there we came to know that it is best suited for group activities and you should come in a group. So, there were no activities organized as mentioned here because we were only 2 people. We passed our time by playing volleyball and archery. The best part of the trip was night camp and morning trek. We enjoyed and were mesmerised by the scenic beauty and managed to click good pictures. Overall a good place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city .This place is good if you are going in a group, corporate team outings, friends hangout. They will arrange for the bonfire after dinner.

Pros: Lovely atmosphere. Not deserted but also not super crowded. Nice to enter the winery. The sommelier from Sula who lead the wine-tasting segment was brilliant; very inspiring. Cons (and don't go if this puts you off): The main tour seemed very rehearsed, especially with the tour guide's stock "jokes" and one-liners. Efforts to engage were superficial and questions about the process were met with very vague answers. To top it off, there was a very explicit indication that women who consumed alcohol were not "good girls", which is a bizarre thing for a connoisseur of wine to say. Not much interaction with any other staff/workers/experts in the winery itself. We weren't able to go to the actual vineyards, as harvest season was over. Restaurant was extremely crowded, service was terrible, food was average (barring the grape milkshake, which was a sugary disaster) and the prices were obscenely high. No pairing with food or even suggestion of wines was offered - it may as well have had nothing to do with a winery. Grape stomping was a bit 'meh' as they just played some Bollywood music and told us to wash off when we were done. No interesting notes on how it was originally done, for how long, interesting techniques etc. Not even a representative to converse with. Overall, I've rated it three stars only because we decided to go ahead and have fun with pretty low expectations for an almost-impromptu trip. If we'd gone with serious intent to learn, taste, buy and essentially come away richer and more knowledgeable, my rating would have dropped a notch.

I was tempted after seeing 5 star rating for this particular trip but was highly disappointed.- Trek should be planned properly, there was no clear trail and we weren't told that leeches might be there. We weren't wearing proper shoes ( with hard cover) and 100s of leeches ATTACKED us. Thankfully, one of my trip members was carrying salt so it helped us a lot. The guide had no clue about the leeches and he wasn't even around to help us.- Also, we got completely different information about the trek from the owner.- No backup of electricity at night.- Food was ok, not mind blowing as some of the reviews are suggesting.- The cost of this package is not worth at all - Rifle shooting and boating should not be costing that much.- Tents were clean enough. The cleanliness of the washroom depends on the people staying in the camp.- The people who were working over there were nice and helpful. However there are few things which are not in their control- backup of electricity etc.

the tour was supposed to be for an hour but it was just half an hour. The guide was knowledgeable and the tips and information given for drinking wine was really good. But as we had gone after harvest the fields were completely empty. They informed that the best time to visit is in August and November.

Its a day well spent snorkeling and having fun in the still waters of Grande island. The guide guy Deepak was awesome. But, one bummer is the lunch arrangement, its bound to make some vegetarians go pretty angry.

I would like to put the pros and cons of this trip we had on 17th March, 2017. Certainly we enjoyed a lot, however few things I would like to mention in segregation- Pros - Lunch was really good and the manager was courteous. - Easy to locate the place through GPS. -Good view of Rural area. Cons - The activities performed does not follow a very stringent rules of safety. Accidents can easily happen. E.g. the rope sports- The gloves were all torn and dirty, there is a rappelling board right in front of one of the rope with iron frames. While rappelling one person holds the rope by hands without any safety equipment or pulley, a dangerous thing. - The breakfast was not good at all. Idli was bad, and aalloo paratha did not have aalloo with no companion curd or anything. - The tents given to put the stuff looks flimsy and does not gives a confidence that stuffs are safe inside. - The archery and all the equipments were in real bad shape, not at all usable. Initially we had a minor co-ordination issue as well which was sorted out once Krutika intervened. Overall the trip was ok and we enjoyed the slush volley ball.

It was kind of awesome especially the pool, but it's sad that a lot of activities are available only on Sundays. We were only able to do water volleyball and squash. Drinks are overcharged (common in most resorts). Pools cues were very less. Pool/Snooker tables are good quality.
