Day 1 - Check-in to the campsite | Stay & Activities : 

  • 4.00 PM - Reach the campsite and check in to your allotted tents.
  • 4.30 PM - You will be given a complimentary welcome beverage with snacks once you have checked in and have freshened up.
  • 6.00 PM - Indulge in fun indoor and outdoor activities and then enjoy the sunset view.
  • 8.00 PM - Experience a memorable night while having a barbecue and playing games to some good music.
  • 10.30 PM - Have a scrumptious dinner and dance to some good music while sitting around a bonfire.

Day 2 - Check out from the campsite | End of Experience :

  • Water has to be carried in abundance, preferable 2-3 liters of water.
  • The campers must have the energy to do their task of trekking across hence energy bars will come handy. If not, then dry fruits would do good to raise energy levels for the trip.
  • It is also important to carry sachets of Glucon D -Since Bhandardara is in the darkest areas in Maharashtra a strong torch with good supplies of reliable batteries is a must.
  • The backpack that one must carry should be spacious.
  • It is important to carry a sun cap and sunscreen lotion for any season you visit.
  • Depending on your medical condition, carry the necessary medical supplies
  • A First-aid kit also is a compulsory inclusion in the medical supplies.

It is 165 km from Mumbai to Bhandardara. Since Igatpuri is the nearest railway station to Bhandardara, one can take a direct train from Mumbai to Igatpuri. From there, they can hire a private vehicle or cab to reach the destination.

There is also MSRTC bus service going from Mumbai. By boarding a bus, one can easily reach Igatpuri in less than 2 hours. Again one should take a cab or local transport and reach Bhandardara Lake camping place.

How to reach Bhandardara Camping site from Pune?

From Pune, Bhandardara is around 175 km which takes about 5 hours. We recommend you have the Pune to Bhandara road-route to travel by so that your travel could be comfortable and hassle-free

By Road: You have to take Pune-Nashik Street (NH 50) up to Ghargaon. From Ghargaon, take a left on the SH 21 and keep driving up to Bhandardara. At Kotul, SH# 21 turns marginally left and becomes SH 44 which takes you to Bhandardara. You can use the google maps GPS route to reach our campsite location.

By Train: Train is also available from Pune, you can travel by Pune Manmad Express and get down at Igatpuri.From Igatpuri you can reach Bhandardara by taxi or state transport bus.

Is bhandardara Lakeside camping safe?

Yes, Bhandardara lakeside camping is a safe place for a camp out in the open space near the lakeside since there are no wild animals around.

The tours are safe, guided and well-organized with utmost safety for solo and female campers. The staff are professional experts and well prepared to help you any time starting from the base camp and finally to your drop location.

  • A dip in the lake at night is forbidden owing to the risk of getting hit by a rock due to poor light.
