Minneriya National Park And Hiriwadunna Village Tour Overview

This full-day adventure tour provides a chance to explore a countryside village in Sri Lanka and endure some of the authentic rural activities with a traditional Sri Lankan lunch followed by an exciting game drive in Minneriya National Park which is well-known for elephants. It is a unique activity that most of the tourists have never missed.

About the tour:
-You will be picked up from your hotel in Habarana and drive to lush Sri Lankan countryside by Safari jeep. 
-Meet your local guide at the starting point of trekking and walk through the tiny rural village of Hiriwadunna. Also, you will enjoy the bullock cart ride through the paddy fields.
-Moving forward, head to a village house and witness some traditional cooking tips and see the Chena cultivation followed by an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch. 
-After having lunch, enjoy a boat ride at a nearby lake and also you will get a chance to see birds, butterflies, or even a crocodile as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.
-Continue to your trip, drive to Minneriya National Park by jeep and as you reach there, start your game drive at the National Park. 
-As the tour concludes, you will be dropped off to your hotel.

  • Day 1 -

    09:00 am: You will be picked up from your hotel in Habarana and travel into the lush Sri Lankan countryside by Safari Jeep.

    09:30 am: Meet your local guide at the trekking starting point and stroll through the tiny rural village of Hiriwadunna.

    11:30 am: Arrive at a Village house and witness some traditional cooking tips and see the Chena cultivation followed by an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch.

    01:30 pm: Hop into a boat and sail to the other side of a lake.

    02:30 pm: You will be taken to Minneriya National Park by jeep.

    03:00 pm: Arrive and start your game drive at the National Park.

    06:00 pm: You will be driven back to your hotel.
