Gangotri Tapovan Trek

Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  Rishikesh – Uttarkashi- Gangotri (250 kms/ 7-8 hrs) (3048 m/ 10,000 ft)

  Get transferred to Uttarkashi via a hill town of Chamba and Tehri that would take almost 5-6 hours.

  Upon your arrival at Gangotri, check-in to your hotel and in the evening, explore the surrounding on your own.

• Day 2 -

  Gangotri (3048 mts/10000 ft) - Bhojwassa (3792 mts/12440 ft) 14 kms trek/5-6 hrs)

  Have breakfast, trek toward Bhojwassa via Chirbasa at 3600 meters.

  Stride along the dense forest and as you reach the location, a temple would be seen. The campsite in the midst of serenity near the river in Bhojawasa is your destination.

  Afternoon will be free to explore the area and enjoy excellent sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks.

  Have dinner and stay overnight in your tents.

• Day 3 -

  Bhojwassa - Gomukh (3890 mts/12760 ft) - Tapovan (4463 mts / 14640 ft)

  Post breakfast, get ready to trek to Gomukh at 3890 meters which is known as the source of the Ganges.

  Once you explore Gomukh region, start trekking to Tapovan, one of the picturesque high altitude alpine meadows in the area.

  As you trek towards Tapovan, you will come across steep climbs and once you conquer these climbs, the view of the surrounding peaks becomes clearer.

  Reach the campsite, have dinner and relax in your tents.

• Day 4 -

  Tapovan - Bhojwassa (4340 mts/14235/Trek 4-5 hrs)

  Today, you will be trekking to Bhojwassa.

  Upon your arrival at the campsite, have dinner and stay overnight in your tents.

• Day 5 -

  Bhojwassa - Gangotri (4880 m/16000 ft) Trek (6 kms / 4-5 hrs).

  In the morning, after breakfast, trek down to Gangotri. The downhill trek will offer you some of the breathtaking sights.

  After 5-6 hours of trekking, you will reach the hotel you are going to stay overnight in Gangotri.

• Day 6 -

  Gangotri – Rishikesh

  Post breakfast, get a drive to Rishikesh. Then your tour gets concluded.
