   We have western flush toilets and running water showers (no geyser) at all our campgrounds. The toilets are common but maintained clean. The sanitation facilities are a keen focus for us to maintain to high standards.

   Camping is fun for kids of all ages. they love tents and rolling in the grass! We have had even toddlers at camp. The parents need to be mindful of the kids and monitor them.

   We have the facility at all our campgrounds albeit limited. Please ask before your trip.

   Local supplies are far from all the campgrounds. It is not convenient to just step out and get something. Try and prepare as much as you can from Mumbai itself and speak with the hosts if you need anything special.

   Karnala Camping costs are Rs. 2000 per adult for a 2 day 1 night package. For children, the package cost is Rs. 1000 per child. While some of the activities during camping are included in the package, there are several more such as boating for which there is an additional cost.

   At Karnal Camps, meals are a lavish affair and are gastronomical delights. Karnal Camping package includes complimentary breakfast. There is also a provision for firewood cooking as well as BBQ dinner if you so like.

   The Karnala Camping site is not far off from the city of Mumbai. It is about 60 kilometers from the city and is situated on the Mumbai- Goa highway NH17 near Karnala Bird sanctuary.
   
   Car/Taxi - It takes about 2 hours by car via Thane Creek and Panvel. Taxis are available on hire at a reasonable rate from Mumbai.
   
   Bus - State transport buses run from Mumbai Central to Karnala.
   
   Train - Central Railway trains from CST station stops at Panvel. From there, there are auto rickshaws, taxis, and buses available.

   This being a camping site has no provision for electricity as such. It will be a wise decision to carry a power bank to charge your cell phone if needed.

10. What things do I need to carry for Karnala Camping?

    All necessities for camping are to be carried along such as -
    
    Anti-mosquito sprays
    Sunscreens and cool sunglasses
    A water bottle light and comfortable clothing
    Toiletries
    A flashlight is a must
    An empty bag to store your wet clothes
    Water bottles can be refilled with mineral water provided at the camp.
    
    It is better not to carry extra items which may not be essential during camping.
    All emergency medicines and some extra snacks will be useful.
    To enjoy monsoon, you must carry umbrellas so as not to wet time during rain.
