Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh is one of the most beautiful places in terms of nature's bounty, and that reflects in the many hills, immense greenery and the great waterfalls of the place. One such place worth visiting are the Apsara Falls.

Factual Information:
Translating into the 'Fairy Pool', Apsara Vihar is a great place for an amazing day out or picnic. Famous for the being the ideal place for leisurely swimming in the pool, the place is located at such a position that the trek to the falls takes you through a number of other attractions in the region, like the Rajat Pratap (Silver falls), Panchali Kund and the Pandav Caves. Not just that, the location of the falls is amidst the hills, making the trail bend a little bit towards the adventurous side as you will be making your way through the rocks and boulders.

Activty:
The experience is purely an adventurous one and that is what you will be welcomed with. You will be trekking distances to reach the Apsara Vihar, where the site of the pool will refresh you before you move again to reach the Pandav Caves which are about a kilometer away from there. The caves showcase many ancient paintings and they are a sight to behold. From there the trek will also take you to the Rajat Pratap or the silver falls. The adventure that comes out from trekking in the hills of Satpura will surely excite you. 

How To Reach:
Apsara Kund lies in the Satpura National Park of Pachmarhi. You can reach this hill station by road from the nearest town of Pipariya, which is well connected to the rest of the state through roads. Pipariya also happens to be the nearest railway head, giving it extra connectivity from the rest of the cities of Madhya Pradesh. The nearest airport that you can find is in Bhopal, from where you can take road transport or a train to reach Pipariya.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Trek to Apsara Vihar, Rajat Pratap, Pandav Caves

    8:00 AM: When you arrive at the bus stand in Pachmarhi, you will be greeted by our representatives and treated with a refreshing welcome drink and a warm breakfast.

    9 AM: You will get a briefing about the day and the trek before it begins.

    1:30 PM to 2:30 PM: Lunch will be served post which you are advised to take rest for a few minutes.

    2:30 PM to 4:30 PM: Get the flavor of wilderness with a guided Jungle Trek to Apsara Kund, Pandav caves (where you will see ancient rock paintings) and Rajat Pratap/ Silver Falls.

    5:00 PM: Trek back to the starting point, and start the return journey to bring the experience to an end.
