Trip Location: Colombo
Colombo, the most famous city in Sri Lanka is a hub that presents the scope of adventuresome tasks and supreme sightseer pleasure. The city culture and the diverse cultural presentation of Colombo make it widely accepted as the capital of Sri Lanka. Tourists are dragged from various corners of the world to observe the scenic and famous demonstrations in Colombo which magnifies the glory of the country.
Your tour will start from Colombo and take you to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya.
About the Activity:
The package lets you grasp the beauty of landscapes of Sri
Lanka’s and observe the hilly gallery throughout the tour. You shall visit some
important places such as Kandy temple, Ramboda waterfalls, along with grabbing
a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya city which is sure to let you gather
countless memories.
You shall be able to observe English country style houses
and half-timbered bungalows which would constitute a totally new experience in
your bucket list. Besides, you get to visit Horton Plains National Park, Seetha
Amman temple and witness tea cultivation with visiting a tea plantation and
factory during this tour.
The package provides with hotel pickup and drop-off facility
along with comfortable accommodation on full Board basis in a 4-star hotel, in
order to enhance the travelling delight. The package includes the services of
an English speaking chauffeur guide and all government taxes during the
sightseeing tour.
The package is also inclusive of entrance fees during Kandy
temple visit, Horton Plains National Park and tea plucking experience. You
shall be provided with convenient transportation to your next destination (
Ella, Yala, Hambantota, Tangalle, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle, Hikkaduwa,
Bentota, Kalutara).
Timings: The time duration of the activity is 3 days and 2
nights and starts at 7.30 am in the morning of the first day.
Starting/End Point: The activity provides a comfortable
pick-up and drop-off facility to and from your hotel in Colombo.
Note: The minimum number of people required to book this
package is 2.
07:30: You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Kandy.
11:00: Arrive at Kandy and visit the Kandy Temple which is the home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
12:30: Arrive at Oak ray Restaurant for lunch. If you are interested, you can visit a wood carving centre and gem lapidary after lunch.
14:30: Leave Kandy and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit Ramboda Waterfalls.
In the evening you can enjoy a city of Nuwara Eliya including a visit to Gregory Lake park. Known as Little England, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year.
Dinner & Overnight at a 4 Star hotel in Nuwara Eliya
6:00 Make a pre-dawn start to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
7:30 Take a guided walk along the park's nature trails to a viewpoint known as World’s End. You may encounter a variety of wildlife including endemic Rhino-horned and Hump-nosed Lizards, highland bird species including the Sri Lanka White-eye, Dull-blue Flycatcher, Sri Lanka Bush Warbler, Yellow-eared Bulbul. Also keep your eye out for troops of Bear Monkey, and Sambar (Sri Lanka’s largest species of deer) which are regularly seen in the plains close to the entrance.
You will continue your journey up to Baker's Falls, named after the famous explorer, Sir Samuel Baker.
14:00 Arrive back to Nuwara Eliya for lunch at a local restaurant.
15:30 Visit the Tea Plantation and Pedro Tea Factory to learn about tea production and its significance to the Sri Lankan economy. You will be able to engage with a tea plucking experience during this visit.
Dinner & Overnight at a 4 Star hotel in Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, you will visit Seetha Amman Temple and then drive to your next destination.
