The Tyrna village, which serves as the starting point for the double-decker bridge, is where your journey begins. You will descend 2400 feet via around 3500 stairs on this route. The walk's steepest and most difficult section is the descent toward Nongthymmai Village. During the last part of the journey, you will encounter steel suspension bridges, jackfruit and pineapple trees, and the double-decker root bridge.

2. David Scott Trail: The 16-kilometre David Scott Trek, which takes five to six hours to do, is one of the easy summer treks in Meghalaya. It starts in Mawphlang and ends at Lad Mawphlang, elevating you to 4892 feet. This trek, named after a British official, teaches you about the history, culture, and mythology of the Khasi people while passing through gorgeous rivers, waterfalls, and lush landscapes. The two most famous sights on this walk are the Umiam River and Simpanghang Falls.

3. Laitlum Canyon Trek: The 24-kilometre Laitlum Canyon journey takes one to two days to finish, depending on how often you stop. This trek climbs to a height of around 1496 metres in the East Khasi Hills, where you will encounter bamboo, orchids, and verdant slopes. One of the most beautiful gorges and winding staircases that descend into a verdant valley may be seen here.
