Its name literally translating to ‘The Seven Lakes’, Sattal Lake is a group of seven interconnected freshwater lakes. Nestled in the heart of thick oak and fine forests, Sattal offers a fine insight into the natural beauty of Nainital. Sattal is one of the most popular lakes in Nainital for birdwatching.
Being practically unpolluted, the lake is visited by a number of migratory bird species throughout the year. The lake is a popular fishing destination throughout the year.
