Haryana is a jewel in the crown of the country India, sharing its capital Chandigarh with the state of Punjab. The Shivalik hills borders the state in the north-east and the Aravalli range towards the south and the commonly spoken language of the natives in this state is Haryanvi. Haryana has a number of sites which dates back to the ancient civilizations of the Vedic era. The state also has the history of being the battleground for the Indian epic Mahabharata and also for the well known Panipat battle.

The industrial locations in this state include, Ambala, Gurgaon, Bhondsi, Faridabad, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Hisar, Sonipat, Samalkha, Sonipat etc.
The salubrious climate of the state, studded with the presence of a large number of old forts, monuments, temples and gardens act as a captivating factor which attracts a large number of tourists to this state, both from within the country and from outside. There are a large number of dry, thorny and deciduous forests which are situated at a large number of places all over the state of Haryana. The state turns into a grass carpet when the monsoons hit the state. However, the intensity of rainfall varies at the various locations of this state. The regions of Brahma Sarovar and Sannihit Sarovar act as a major attraction in this region.
