Seven Wonder Park
A newbie in the city, this one of a kind park is perfect to witness the marvelous seven wonders at one place. This is one of the best places to visit in Kota which features the miniature versions of all the seven wonders in the world.

Taken up by the urban development department, the makeover of this garden was worth 20 crores. Inside the park there are structures of Taj Mahal, the Great Pyramid, the Eiffel Tower and other 4 marvels.

The park is located just at the banks of the Kishore Sagar Lake which enhances the beauty of the place even more. There are food stalls inside the park and people come here to have a great time enjoying a picnic with family and friends.

Kishore Sagar
This is an artificial lake which was constructed around the year 1346, its picturesque beauty makes it one of the best places to visit in Kota. Built by Bundi Prince Dehra Deh, this is one of the attractive highlights of the Brij Vilas Palace museum.

Just in the middle of this lake rests the Jagmandir which is a beautiful architecture made of red sandstone. One can witness the surreal view of the reflection of the palace falling on the surface of the lake.

Jagmandir Palace
Resting just in the middle of the Kishore Sagar Lake, the Jag Mandir palace is one of the unique places to see in Kota. Built with magnificent red stone, this palace was made by one of the queens of Kota around the year 1740.

In the early times, this place was treated as the summer house for the erstwhile kings. The best experience of the palace is to witness the reflection over the shimmering lake.

Garadia Mahadev Temple
Situated at an altitude of 500 feet, Garadia Mahadev Temple is one of the unique and magnificent tourist places to visit in Kota. Resting over the gorge through which the Chambal river passes, one can feel a divine connection by merely standing here.

There are rituals performed by the local priest who stays inside the temple till 5:30pm. This place is not recommended to be visited at late hours.

Kota Barrage
Kota Barrage is one of the magnificent tourist places in Kota where people gather to enjoy a view of the white frothy water flowing in full force. Part of one of the major constructions of the Chambal Valley Project over the Chambal river.

This was built for storage of water which was stored by the three previous dams of the Gandhi Sagar Dam, Jawahar Sagar Dam and Rana Pratap Sagar Dam. Later it was channelized to the dry areas of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for irrigation purposes via canals. In the present this project helps in irrigation of around 20,000 acres of land.

Chambal Garden
Quite a hot spot for the tourists, this beautiful garden is one of the best places to visit in Kota. With a surreal backdrop of the serene river and the lush-greenery, this garden offers a rejuvenating break from the hustle-bustle.

Inside the garden there is a pathway which is adorned by trees and shrubs filled with flower beds. People come here with families to enjoy a fun picnic day amidst the beautiful view of the garden.

Just in the middle of the garden there is a pond where the gharials could be found. At every corner of the garden there is greenery and this place makes an ideal location to enjoy a vibrant day-out.

Khade Ganesh Ji Temple
This temple is famous for the standing idol of the Ganesha which is one of its own kind in India. Believed to be around 600 years old, the temple is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year.

Located in the vicinity of the Chambal river, this temple also has a lake nearby where the peacocks can be spotted. The history of the temple and its unique structure makes it one of the best places to visit in Kota.

City Palace, Kota

Kaithoon
The city of Kota is famous for the handmade fabric which is further supplied to various parts of the country. One such fabric work is also done using gold threads and various dresses are woven using the same.

Gaipernath Waterfall

Rao Madho Singh Museum
Resting in the premises of the Old Palace of Kota, this museum is considered one of the top tourist places to see in Kota. The museum has preserved a collection of incredible artefacts and documents which reflects the rich history and culture of Rajasthan.

The history buffs can witness some of the precious things like Silver Figurines, Terracotta figures, coins, sculptures and manuscripts. Expanded to around two storeys, this museum has several galleries which are worth exploring.

Darrah National Park
Home to three wildlife sanctuaries in Rajasthan, this national park was established in 2004. Spread over a hilly terrain, the Darrah National Park shares boundaries with Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary and Jawahar Sagar Sanctuary.

Situated at a distance of 50 kms away from Kota, this national park is considered as one of the most famous national parks in Rajasthan. Earlier this national park was to be a ground for royal hunting and with time the Rajputs, Marathas and the Britishers exploited this land to seek asylum during wars.

Around 1955, the Government of India declared this park as a protected area and this national park came into limelight in 2004.

Karneshwar Temple
Also called the Kansua temple, this is located close to the banks of River Chambal in Kota. Inside the temple there is a four headed shivalinga which has a beautiful and unique structure. This place is famous among the pilgrims who are devotees of lord Shiva.

Not just the religious importance but the temple is also known for its magnificent architecture. According to history, the Kansua temple is believed to be built for the Pandavas exile. On the other hand it is said that the temple was a gift from Madho Rao to Jahangir.

Shivpuri Dham

Abheda Mahal
Resting in the vicinity of the Chambal river in Kota in Rajasthan, this historic palace was built by Ummed Maharaj. Holding a rich history, this beautiful palace has many stories associated with its development. Inside the palace there is a pond which is adorned by lotus flowers and turtles.

Garh Palace
This palace located in Kota, Rajasthan is known for its variety of architectural structures in a single complex. Locally called the city palace, this place has a vast number of apartments and monuments which are sheer man-made marvels.

All these architectures were built in different eras and reflects the rich heritage of Rajput rule and Mughal art. Inside the palace there are wall paintings, mirror walls, mirror ceilings, and floral decorations.
