Hua Hin is blessed with some attractive, accessible and family friendly beaches. As Hua Hin is situated on the Gulf of Thailand the seas are warm throughout the year, which makes swimming and other beach activities pleasurable at any time. Hua Hin has a little bit of everything and while some might bemoan that it’s somewhat too busy on weekends and national holidays, it continues to be a well-liked beach destination and draws many visitors from all over Thailand and abroad.
Activities: If lying on a sun bed all day is a little too sedate, there are plenty of other things to do. Swimming in the sea poses few dangers and the beach slopes very gently. Water sports are somewhat limited at the beach’s northern end due to the rocks, so it’s only further south where you’ll find most of the water-based activities.

The Cicada Market is widely termed as the best outdoor market in Thailand and it certainly deserves the tag. The atmosphere of the market is very lively and vibrant as there are street performances held every now and then.
Highlights: If you like paintings and other art items, you will be delighted to see a huge number of such oil paintings. There are speciality food stores that sell the local cuisine, the pineapple speciality store is quite popular as well. You will also find tattoo shops that lets you have permanent or fake tattoos.

The shopping village has a lot to offer all what Hua Hin is famous for. However, western tourists might not like it much since not many products are available for them. It is a complete market though as you will find everything from clothes, food, gift items, speciality stores and much more here.
Highlights: The Plearn Wan Shopping village is nicely decorated and tourists love taking pictures here. Even the food available here is simply awesome and loved by the tourists from all parts of the world. You will find a lot of souvenir shops here which lets you buy local gift items from here.

Price: The place is free to enter but whatever you buy have different prices which can be brought down by bargaining with the locals.
The Maruekhathaiyawan Palace is a royal palace and a former residence of a king. Today, it is just a tourist attraction owing to its beautiful architecture. This palace was used as a holiday villa by the King Vajiravudh. It was made by an Italian architect, Ercole Manfredi.
Highlights: The complete design of the palace was drafted by the King who presided over here. There are around 16 teak buildings all of which are raised by various concrete pillars and they are linked by many walkways throughout the palace. The architecture of this beautiful palace is worth seeing by every tourist.
Timings: The palace is open for tourists from 8 in the morning to 4:30 in the evening.
Price: There is an entry fee to the palace and it is priced at 60 baht per person. This entry fees is used for maintaining the palace by the authority.
