The Maruekhathaiyawan Palace is a royal palace and a former residence of a king. Today, it is just a tourist attraction owing to its beautiful architecture. This palace was used as a holiday villa by the King Vajiravudh. It was made by an Italian architect, Ercole Manfredi.

There are around 16 teak buildings all of which are raised by various concrete pillars and they are linked by many walkways throughout the palace.
