Ruperra Castle

Coity Castle

Monmouth Castle

Oystermouth Castle

Grosmont Castle

- Popularly known as one of the Three Castles of Gwent, built by the Normans, the Grosmont Castle has a history that dates all the way back to the 13th century
- In addition to having served as the home of Hubert de Burgh, the castle was later transformed by the house of Lancaster and was built entirely in stone, which replaced the original mud and timber structure
- Surrounded by a wide moat, ditches and river banks, the castle also has a reddish colour, which makes it quite striking, especially when you first enter the area
- It is also known for its tall curtain wall, along with three red sandstone towers and an opulent gatehouse
