Nisarga Dhama

Coorg, a popular hill station lies Nisarg Dhama which enhances the beauty of already magnificent Coorg. Nisargdhama is located 28 km from Madekeri. Built on the river Cauvery it occupies an area of 64 acres proudly protecting the native wildlife, flora and fauna. Being a path of land in the middle of a jungle it makes up to be great picnic spot for visitors in Coorg.
Blessed with greenery at every nook and corner, one cannot go wrong in making this a holiday destination. The sanctuary is flourishing with blossoming orchid flowers and medicinal plants. It has a private deer park and oe can also sight elephants and other animals along with the deer. The resort allows the visitors to swim in the safe waters of Cauvery. Bathing in freshwaters is like a blessing. There are elephant safaris carried out here for everyone to enjoy. Once here visitors can also engage themselves in enjoying the waterfalls of Irrupu and Abbi. One can visit the quaint towns of Madikeri and Somwarpet. The best time to be here is post monsoon. It is easily reachable by bus or car.
