The Trip
The couple decided to board their flight from Kolkata and within few hours landed at the island of the beaches. Despite the hot and humid climate, this couple had a few days to explore the beauty of the island and their relationship, so they wasted no time to do so. After arriving, Shubhodeep and Sunanda took a quick lunch at Port Blair at their hotel and went ahead to explore the capital city in the evening. The most important structure – The Cellular Jail was seen by the duo ending with the sound and light show that took them back to history. After a heavy heart, these guys went back to the hotel and spent time at the dinner table, in conversations and in knowing each other more. All under the beautiful starry sky!
The beaches in Andaman are known worldwide for their excellent beauty, immense cleanliness and provide exotic ambiance for the honeymoon couple. With love and togetherness oozing out from every corner of these mesmerizing beaches, Shubhodeep and Sunanda visited the Neil Island which is around 5-Hour jetty ride from Port Blair. The morning cruise jetty aka Phoenix Bay Jetty took the couple to the island which is known for beaches such as Laxmanpur beach, Sitapur beach, Bharatpur beach and the Coral and Natural beach. During the night, the couple shared intimate moments with each other overlooking the brilliant night sky and the sound of the waves adding music to the ears.

The High Point Of The Trip
The most underrated but now slowly turning popular beach of the Andaman, the Havelock Beach is a destination so brilliant that you will forget for once that you are in India. The clean white sand beach, pristine blue waters of the sea, the forest laden cliffs and beauty as far as eyes could see make for a perfect canvas for the lovers who are there to kindle romance in their lives. The popular Radhanagar Beach of the Havelock Island is around 54 Km away from Port Blair which is traversed through jetty. The couple reached at the beach and was given a warm welcome by the hotel management.
Considered one of the best honeymoon beaches in Asia, the Havelock beach gave enough time for the couple to explore each other, the beauty surrounding them and the exotic sea world that lay deep down into the water. The couple for the first time indulged in snorkeling and explored spectacular corals, colorful fishes and underwater nature at the beach.

Shubhodeep says, “The clean pollution free beaches with beautiful sunset beauty and closeness to nature made us fall in love with the island. I still miss the beach life today after coming back to the city.” One thing that gets stuck in all the tourists and travellers who visit Andaman is the cleanliness that the local people follow that is inspiring. The beaches, the roads and the streets are kept super clean by the residents and are always vigilant to instruct tourists and travellers to do the same. That is one of the reasons why nature’s beauty seems unadulterated there.”
World Away From The Mundane
The couple on their honeymoon next visited the Chidyatapu beach or the bird paradise to explore the natural habitat of various indigenous and migrant birds that fly to the island. The quaint sand, crystal clear water and the alluring beach set the right mood for the honeymoon couple to have a perfect dinner at the beachside. The next day was the time to revisit India’s history wherein Shubhodeep and Sunanda visited Ross Island, which is famously called as the Coral Island and served as the administrative capital of India prior to independence.
The best part of the trip was the cruise experience. However, due to the untimely reservation of the tickets, the couple couldn’t take advantage of the complimentary lunch. But they didn’t miss out on a great time on the sea, feeling the wind in the hair and smelling the sea. If you get seasick, you may have to carry medicines with you or else the trip would turn sour. The couple was accompanied by the peacock, deer and the other wildlife at the beach. They also saw the magnificent corals on a glass-bottom boat. They both had the most memorable and adventurous time during snorkeling and coral reef excursion during the visit to the island. In the evening, the cruise took them back to Port Blaire where they rested their tired bodies at the hotel and were served some authentic cuisine of the island.
Though the itinerary kept changing according to the couple who were there to have maximum time spent in leisure, exploring the island and mingling romance between each other, the overall trip gave them a memorable time that was captured in pictures and videos.
Things to Consider
According to Shubhodeep, there were certain elements that are to be kept in mind while travelling to the Andaman Islands.
- Check the weather before visiting as they witnessed hot and humid climate
- It is difficult to find alcohol beverages at all the places
- It is plastic and smoking free zone
- Only Airtel and BSNL networks work at Neil Island
- Everything is a little on the expensive side
Nevertheless, the couple spent quality time with each other at the Andaman Island during their honeymoon and would suggest every couple to visit the beautiful land of the beaches at least once in a lifetime to experience new-age romance filled with mesmerizing sunsets, candlelit dinner, walk on the beach and underwater swim all at one place.
