If you fancy yourself as a discoverer and nature lover, you must visit Yangmingshan National Park, dotted with sulfur crystals and hot springs. While heading to this park, you'll be greeted by a thick blanket of clouds, undulating pastures, misty forests, gushing waterfalls, and silvery grasslands. It spans an area of 43.78 square miles and is situated in the northernmost point of Taiwan.
One of the historical sites in the park is Yangmingshan, the summer home for Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of Taipei. You can opt for leisurely strolls in the park, smell sulfur from fumaroles or hike up Mt Qi Xing, which is the highest point in YangMingShan.
