WEI SAWDONG FALLS

The Wei Sawdong falls is a 3 tier falls located in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya. This waterfall is located close to the Dainthlen Falls and is quite a popular attraction in the region. The Wei Sawdong involves a trek to reach the falls which is nothing less than an adventure. This falls is known for its lush green surroundings and the crystal clear water and continues to be a tourist hotspot.

This falls is more like a smaller version of a hot spring as the water here is known to be refreshing and is ice cold too. However, you are not allowed to swim in its premises due to safety reasons. The locals have created an accessible route to make the path easy, but either way, it is nothing less than an adventure. Visitor tips

1. Since the water in the Wei Sawdong falls is so deep, it is better to not go for a swim, for safety reasons.

2. You will have to trek a lot to get to the falls and the journey can be physically exhausting, so be prepared accordingly.

3. Wear a comfortable pair of footwear since you will have to trek to get to the waterfalls. 

4. You can get a glimpse of the waterfall even from a distance when you are trekking.

5. Do not litter the premises as it can pose a threat for the flora and fauna near the falls.
