Basilica of Angustias is a 17th-century Parish church in Granada that is dedicated to the city’s venerated patroness, la Virgen de las Angustias or Our Lady of Sorrows. Basilica of Angustias is a Parish church of Granada that is an important religious site and an active place of worship. Located in the Puerta Real neighbourhood in the centre of the city, this church dates back to the 1600s and was built under the commission of Juan Luis Ortega. It sports a Baroque style architecture and has a nave, transept and chancel with eight sides.
