By Car: Twin Peaks is located 3 miles from the city centre, it will take 9 min via the Portola Drive route.

By Bus: Take a bus to Market St & Clayton St which is 1.3 miles away from the location. You can reach the destination from the bus station within a 25-minute walk.

Best Time To Visit

Twin Peaks is accessible year-round and offers visitors a panoramic view of San Francisco and its surroundings regardless of the season.

Best Season: The best season to visit Twin Peaks is during fall, from September to November. During these months, the weather is mild with clearer skies, providing excellent visibility for enjoying the views.

Best Day of the Week: The best day of the week to visit the Twin Peaks is on a weekday, preferably from Tuesday till Thursday when the places are less crowded compared to weekends.

Best Time of the Day: The best time to visit the Twin Peaks is either right before sunrise or sunset. If you visit before sunrise, you will be able to enjoy the view of the sun rising and bathing the city of San Francisco in its light. If you visit during sunset, you can witness the picturesque view of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean and the city coming alive with night lights.

Enjoy a Hike

To enjoy the best experience of Twin Peaks, embark on an enjoyable hike of 0.7 miles from the base of the peak. During the journey, you will be able to witness the spectacular 360-degree views of the city and its surroundings. You may also opt to take additional trails which follow the southern and eastern slopes of the park. To extend your hike further, continue down Twin Peaks Boulevard towards Portola Drive which will take you to Glen Canyon Park.
