The Moscow Planetarium ranking among the most modern planetariums in the world was inaugurated on 5 November 1929. The planetarium has become one of the biggest and brightest destinations on the Moscow museum circuit, with all kinds of interactive exhibits, high-tech gadgetry and educational programs.
The centerpiece is the Large Star Hall boasts Europe’s largest star projection dome with its 25m silver dome roof featuring glowing northern lights, flickering stars, floating clouds, flying comets, August meteor showers and solar eclipses.
