This quaint town, which is also the administrative capital of the North-Western Province of Zambia, is an important centre in the Copperbelt region and home to several indigenous African tribes such as the Kaonde, the Luvale and the Lunda.
Solwezi is one of the most interesting places in Zambia because of the nearby Kikubwa Rock Stream Shelter, where paintings from the Stone Age have been discovered.
