Shoes on the Danube Promenade stand tall on the banks of the Danube and in front of the Hungarian Parliament. It hosts 60 pairs of iron shoes that are pointed towards the river.
The tragic story lies behind the memorial to individuals who had lost their lives due to the atrocities committed during the Second World War.
