Schlosskirche is perhaps one of the oldest buildings in the town. This ancient castle church, built in the year 1133, is one of the must-visit tourist places in Interlaken if you admire history. Around the time of its construction and a long time afterwards, the place was in use as a monastery.
Today, however, what remains of the building is used as a convent which has been converted into a private castle. When here, you can enjoy a tour of the place and admire the simplistic architecture along with its beautiful stained glass artistry. It also has a small garden at the front where you can take pictures! This hidden gem, nestled in the Swiss landscape, is a delightful addition to your Switzerland itinerary, offering a unique blend of history, art, and natural beauty.
