A small village situated in Kinnaur, Sarhan is perched at an altitude of 2165 meters. Popular as “ Gateway To Kinnaur”, it is known for its dense pine forests, terraced farms, slate-roofed houses, and gushing streams. In the center of the village, one can find a beautiful 2-towered temple of Bhimkali and Devi Kali.
Apart from this, you will also get to see the Jujurana bird species in a pheasantry situated in close proximity to the Devi Kali temple. Sarhan also acts as a base village for several trekking expeditions and is regarded as the summertime capital of Bushehr rulers. The view of Mount Srikhand peak from this place is something that you can’t give a miss. With its mesmerizing and serene surroundings, Sarhan is one of the key places to visit in Kinnaur.
