Philadelphia Zoo Overview

Established in 1874, the Philadelphia Zoo is the first ever zoo in America. Spread over 42 acres of land, it is home to over 1300 animals, including some rare and endangered species. Some of the major attractions in the zoo include the Big Cat Falls, KidZooU, McNeil Avian Centre, Zoo360 and PECO Primate Reserve.

  • By Bus: The closest bus stop to Philadelphia Zoo is the 40th St & Poplar St which is only a 2-minute walk away from the zoo.
