Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular sanctuary in Rajasthan which is situated on one of the oldest mountain ranges of India, the Aravalli Range. Established in 1980, the sanctuary is well known for its biodiversity of flora and also houses the highest peak in Rajasthan, Guru Shikhar.

1. By Car: The activity location is 35 km from the city centre, it will take 1 hr by car via the MDR 60 route.
2. By Bus: Take a bus to Mount Abu Central Bus Depot which is 34.3 km away from the sanctuary. You can reach the location from the bus depot with a 58-minute travel by car via MDR60
3. By Train: Take a train to Abu Road railway station which is 21.4 km away from the destination. You can reach the wildlife sanctuary from the train station with a 37 min journey by car via Abu Rd - Mount Abu Rd.
4. By Air: Take a flight to Maharana Pratap Airport which is 146.8 km away from the wildlife sanctuary. You will need to journey for 2 hr 33 min by car via NH 27 to reach the place from the airport.
Wildlife sanctuary in Mount Abu can be visited throughout the year. You will be able to see a diverse range of Flora, Fauna, and wildlife in every season. The best season to visit Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is in the winter season from October to February when the weather is pleasant and ideal for viewing wildlife. Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its rich flora and you will be able to witness a plethora of plant species while exploring the place. If you are visiting the lower forest, you will witness dry thorny bushes along with various pieces of dicots and monocots. Visit the interior to take a look at 81 tree species, 17 rare medicinal plant species, 28 climber species, and 89 shrub species. Apart from this, there is also a dense bamboo forest at one part of the sanctuary.
There are nearly 250 species of colourful birds inside the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, making it a bird watcher's paradise. More so, because the sanctuary is the home of the rare green Avadavat and pied tit/grey, endangered oriental White-backed and Long-billed vulture, and the near-threatened Darter. You will also be able to look at Aravalli Red Spurfowl, Indian golden oriole, white-spotted fantail-flycatcher, Indian blackbird, woodpecker, tailorbird and more.
