About Mar Bella Beach Barcelona

Located eastwards on the Barcelona seafront, Platja de la Mar Bella is a beautiful beach in the city, that is perfect for a relaxing day by the water. Boasting of soft sands, as well as clean and clear waters, the beach is great to enjoy activities like swimming, sunbathing or simply enjoying views of the ocean. The beach is approximately 512 metres long and 50 meters wide and ranks amongst the top beaches that were created when the seafront was re-developed in 1992 for the Barcelona Olympics. 

One of the best things about Platja de la Mar Bella is that it's not as crowded as some of the other beaches in Barcelona. This means that you can actually find a spot to yourself to relax, which is a rarity in a city like Barcelona.

There are also plenty of beach umbrellas and chairs for rent, as well as a few restaurants and cafes nearby, making it easy to spend a whole day here. Besides the common facilities like public fountains, children’s play areas, public toilets and lifeguard towers, the beach also has a designated nudist area as well as ice cream and drink stalls.
