LIDDER RIVER

Passing through the majestic echoing valleys of Pahalgam is the Lidder River, known for its pleasantness and charmness. Originating in the Kalohi Glacier, this river flows to a distance as long as 75 kms. The Lidder has a grandeur of its own, and has captivated the minds of explorers for hundreds of years. It passes through the picturesque setting of the Pir Panjal Mountain Range, with lush green valleys and scores of pine trees all around.
