It is the highest mountain in the British Isles and the United Kingdom that attracts around one hundred and twenty-five thousand walkers a year. It was a massive active volcano that collapsed and exploded inwards millions of years ago, and you can see the evidence of an explosion at the mountain's summit.
From the top of the mountain, you can see other peaks such as the Torridon hills, Morven at Caithness, and Ben Lomond. This summit's unique feature is the Old Observatory that records some of the U.K.'s most useful information. You can hike up to this mountain and stand on the highest summit of the British Isles.
