Loch Ness is a large freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands world-famous for its great adventure sports, dramatic scenery, solitary lighthouses, and nearby castles. The unique thing about this lake is that it is dark blue due to the peat particles that fall in the lake, making it darker than others. Around forty rivers and small streams flow into the lake, and it never freezes despite the brutally cold winters.
It dates back to 565 A.D, and many people are attracted to this lake to see the Loch Ness Monster that was first spotted in the 1930s.
