AL HAYL CASTLE

The Al-Hayl Castle is situated in the Wadi Hayl,15 kilometres from Fujairah,close to the Hajar mountains.It was built in 1830 and was the residence of the ruling family of Fujairah.The Castle provides a marvellous view of the surroundings.Currently,it is listed under the Department of Antiquities and Heritage for maintenance and preservation purposes.

Al Hayl Castle is one of the best kept secrets of Fujairah which offers an idyllic gateway for the locals. Built in 1830, the Al-Hayl-Castle is a heritage site which stands as one of the finest specimens of traditional Arabian architecture.

From the lofty wind towers of the castle you can get sweeping views of the landscape formed by the palm groves and mountains at a distance.
