It is revered as the oldest most of the emirates which dates back to 1446. The curvaceous, short mudbrick structure adorned with four sepulchres rests on a single internal pillar. This bijou structure sets the Badiyah mosque apart from all the others in the Arab world.
Located north of Badiyah village on the low gradient of a hill, it is well worth walking up to the summit of the mosque which offers sweeping views of the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Gulf.
