Ziro Music Festival Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Guwahati | Visit one of the Shaktipeeth
  • Upon your arrival in Guwahati (airport/ railway station), get picked up by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel.
  • If time permits, you will visit one of the most revered sites in Guwahati - the Kamakhya temple.
  • The Kamakhya temple is counted among the most sacred shaktipeethas (devotional shrines where the severed body parts of Goddess Sati fell), the temple is believed to be the place where the womb of the goddess fell.
  • After, seeking blessings from the goddess, reach the hotel for an overnight stay.
  • Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 2
Guwahati to Itanagar | Travel to the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh
  • Start your day early today, to reach the next destination in time.
  • Post breakfast at the hotel, get transferred to the capital city - Itanagar.
  • Upon reaching, spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • If time permits you can explore Itanagar on your own by visiting the Ita fort, Ganga Lake, Buddha temple, Itanagar Zoo, etc.
  • Overnight stay in Itanagar.
Day 3
Itanagar to Ziro | Land of Last Apatani tribal people
  • On this day, post breakfast, start your travel towards Ziro village, located in the North of Itanagar.
  • On the way, visit the Nyishi tribal village to get a glimpse of their unique culture and bamboo architecture houses.
  • Upon arrival in Ziro, surround yourself with the ethereal natural as well as cultural landscapes of Arunachal.
  • Take a walk through the highlands surrounded by the Apatani tribal villages like Diibo, Bulla, Hari, etc.
  • Interact with the locals and admire their unique tattoos, which is a part of their tradition.
  • Get mesmerized with the one-of-a-kind nose piercing of the Apatani women, a practice that has now been stopped.

Day 4

  • Post breakfast in the morning, head out to explore the world-famous Ziro Music festival.

  • You can also go fishing in the paddy fields and understand the rice cultivation process that remains unchanged for centuries now.

Day 5
Explore Ziro Valley | Get a chance to interact with the locals
  • Post breakfast in the morning, head out to explore the Ziro Valley.
  • In the morning you can visit the Hong village to get an insight into the daily lifestyle of the Apatani Tribal people.
  • Take a walk around the village and explore their unique houses made of wood and bamboo while you interact with the locals.
  • You can also visit their farmlands to understand their own way of fishing.
  • Visit the Hapoli market to shop for some local handicrafts, and jewelry made by the tribal people.
  • Savor the local delicacies like rice beer or go for a wine tour at the local vinery, famous for its Kiwi wine.
  • In the evening, you can return back to enjoy the music festival.

Day 6
Ziro to Gohpur/ Biswanath Chariali | Begin your return journey
  • Upon having a hearty breakfast in Ziro, head towards Gohpur/Biswanath Chariali.
  • Today, most of your time will be spent on roads through the beautiful valley and rolling hills.
  • Upon reaching Gohpur/Biswanath Chariali, relax after a tiring journey.
  • Overnight stay in Gohpur/Biswanath Chariali.

Day 7
Gohpur/ Biswanath Chariali to Guwahati | Bid Adieu with a lot of memories

Know Before You Go for Ziro Music Festival Tour Package

  • Please note that this tour is more of the raw experience about the culture, nature, traditions and not a luxury tour. Therefore, we request the travelers to be sensitive and respect the cultural differences.
  • Some of the locations mentioned in the tour are very offbeat and remote and therefore the travelers need to understand that they are provided with the best possible services available in those regions in terms of stay, food (which can be very basic on some days).
  • The tour takes place through an Eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. There are dustbins everywhere to throw stuff as the village council is very strict about cleanliness and travelers littering may be fined.
  • Travelers need to carry enough cash, as ATM’s and mobile networks are not available in some regions.
  • Pick up and drop is between a fixed time window. Any delay due to personal or unforeseen circumstances including flight reschedules will incur an extra cost and has to be communicated at the earliest. Sightseeing missed due to delayed flight/train/bus is non-refundable.
  • Thrillophilia reserves the right to rearrange or change the itinerary for any reasons that are beyond control like Natural calamity, weather conditions, road block, vvip interference, political manifestation etc.
  • The vehicle for sightseeing is available on an itinerary basis only, and will not be on disposal.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
