Trekking At Rupin Pass

Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  Report in Dhaula

  Arrive in Dhaula, a hamlet in Uttarkashi by late afternoon on your own.

• Day 2 -

  Dhaula 1555 M to Sewa 1920 M

  Trek for an easy 11 kms trek from Dhaula to Sewa with apple and apricot trees in abundance on the trail.

  The initial walk is through farms till you enter the dense jungle.

  Pass through the richness of number of streams.

  Camp overnight at Gosangu.

• Day 3 -

  Sewa 1920 M to Jhaka 2652 M

  Today you trek to the Hanging Village of Jhaka.

  The trail is not easy today.

  There are multiple sections of steep climb with some flat sections in between for respite.

  Pass through beautiful deodar & walnut tree.

  Reach the hanging village as its located on the edge of a mountain.

  Overnight camp at Jhaka.

• Day 4 -

  Jhaka 2652 M to Saruwas thatch 3125 M

  Trek from dense forests,meadows to steams of water to beautiful snow bridges.

  The proximate distance to Saruwas thatch is 5kms which will take about 4-5 hours.

• Day 5 -

  Saruwas thatch 3125 M to Dhanderas thatch 3560 M

  Enjoy the spectacular views as the previous day the trail comprise of dense forests,meadows & number of rivulets.

  The most stunning view is from a point close of Dhanderas.

  Witness the sight of the hundreds of waterfalls cascading down the mountain slopes to meet Rupin river is a sight which can leave you thrilled.

  Overnight camp at Dhanderas which is also known as lower waterfall camp.

• Day 6 -

  Dhanderas thatch 3560 M to Upper Waterfall camp 4054 M

  Trek through the snow and cross a number of streams.

  Move from Dhanderas to Upper waterfall camp.

• Day 7 -

  Upper Waterfall Camp 4054 M to Rupin Pass 4649 M to Ronti Gad 4090 M

  Break camps early in the morning to have more time at hand.

  Climb through the steep rocks and then the form of a saddle on a ridge.

  On the way you will find stone cairns & multi color prayer flags.

  After crossing the pass there is a steep decent up to the meadows of Ronti Gad.

• Day 8 -

  Ronti Gad 4090 M to Sangla 2682 M

  Descent to the steep steps andd witness the spectacular views of Kinner Kailash Ranges

  After 4 hours of trek civilization closes in as pass through the village farms & orchards.

  Reach Sangla in 5-6 hours. The trip ends here.

  You can stay in Sangla or depart on the same day.
