Starting Point/ Ending Point: Picture Palace, Mall Road

In the local language, Lal Tibba means the Red Hill. This is said to be the oldest and the most popular place in Mussoorie. Lal Tibba is located on the top of Depot Hill in Landour and is known for its scenic beauty courtesy the pleasant sunrise and sunset that leave the travelers spellbound. Lal Tibba is located on the highest point of the area due to which it provides stunning viewpoints in the region. 

One can take the panoramic views through the lens of an old telescope mounted on a top of a  20-meter-tall tower at the edge of the cliff. Lal Tibba has mesmerizing views of the Tibet border, further one can take some amazing look of Himalayan Mountain peaks, like Badrinath, Kedarnath, etc with the help of telescope installed on the towers. 

This Lal Tibba trek provides wanderers to reach the highest point of Mussoorie and revive themselves in the lap of Nature. The guide will meet and greet you at Mussoorie Mall Road. Start your hike from Mall road till Lal Tibba situated at 7,460 Ft. Visit Chaar Dukan, a famous sightseeing café in Landour which gives a mesmerizing view of the snowy white line of ranges from there. En-route visit the famous Kellogg Memorial Church which is a historical building built-in 1903. Travelers can visit the Lal Tibba in two different slots morning and evening. 

The place is popular for its shopping, old fashioned cafes and colonial architecture. It is advised to try the famous Masala Tea.

    The view of the mountain from the telescope was really beautiful. We visited there last November and the trail was covered with snow. Do go with a guide only otherwise you can lose your way up there. The morning views were really astonishing and we loved the visit to the church as well. Thrillophilia conducts this trek nicely and enjoyed trekking with them.
