The Starscapes observatory in Kausani is the first public observatory that opens a gateway for the people to know more about the celestial bodies and the system. Kausani is a secluded village that is situated away and is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Panchchuli. Book this visit to the observatory and learn about reading the night sky, identifying objects in it, and the science behind their movements and appearances. How to reach?
The Starscapes observatory is located near the famous Anashakti Ashram at a mere distance of 500 m from the Kausani village center and can be easily reached via public or private transportation. The nearest bus stand is the Loadh bus stand and is located at a distance of 21 Km from the observatory.

Know Before You Go for Starscapes Observatory Kausani
- Meals are not included in the package.
- The activity is open for all age groups.
- Timings must be strictly followed, as the activity is strictly time constraint.
- Participants are not allowed to not carry any sharp object, lighter, luggage bag, alcohol, knife, etc. in the observatory
- Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
- ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
- Any breakage or damage of any items will be charged at actuals.
