Additional Information
- Day 1 of the South India package from Chennai will see your arrival in Mysore, where our representative will arrange for hotel transfers. After getting checked-into a hotel, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.
- And you may choose to go out shopping at Krishnaraja Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Devaraja Road, Dhanvantri Road and Ashoka Road or stay in your room to relax and replenish.
- Day 2, will be for sightseeing top Mysore landmarks like, the Mysore Palace - built in 1912 in Indo-Saracenic architecture, this palace has been the royal residence of the seat of the Mysore kingdom. The Lalitha Mahal Palace, Railway Museum, Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery, Mysore Zoo, St. Philomena’s Cathedral, Devaraja Fruit and Vegetable Market, Chamundi Hills and Brindavan Gardens.
- Day 3 you will travel to Ooty which is a popular hill-station in the Tamil Nadu Western Ghats. After your arrival, you will check-into the hotel and spend the remaining day at your leisure.
- You may choose to go shopping at the local markets and try out traditional restaurants in the evening.
- Day 4, will consist of Ooty sightseeing where you will travel to prominent tourist attractions. In the day, you will go to the Botanical Garden, Doddabetta Peak and Ooty Rose Garden. Along with this, you will also go on a Toy-train to enjoy the enthralling scenery. You will end the day with a visit to the Ooty lake where you will go for a boat ride on the calm waters
- Day 5, will have you travel to Munnar - a quaint Keralan hill-station, tucked in the Western Ghats range. Once you reach here, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-ins. Afterwards, the rest of the day will be spent at the tea gardens/estates, the Tea Museum and the Tea Factory.
- Day 6, you will continue the sightseeing tour of Munnar's best tourist sites. And in the day, pay a visit to the Rajamalai National Park - a wildlife sanctuary that houses the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, and the Mattupetty Dam.
- Day 7, you will depart Munnar to travel to Alleppey, also known as the 'Venice of East'. Upon reaching, you will board a boathouse and take a ride on the picturesque backwaters while also witnessing the local lifestyle, villages and more.
- You will conclude the day by spending the night in the boathouse.
- Day 8, your excursion will continue as you head to Cochin - it is a major port city in the coastal state of Kerala.
- After completing the hotel check-ins, you will go on a full day sightseeing tour of the best landmarks like - Jew Town, Paradesi Synagogue and Mattancherry Palace.
- This will be followed by a visit to Wellington Island, where you will get to enjoy a boat ride with views of the scenic beaches and backwaters of Cochin.
- Day 9, you South India tour package from Chennai trip will come to an end as our representative will get you transferred to the airport or railway-station in Cochin for your journey back to Chennai.
