Dawki Scuba Diving Overview

Activity Location: Dawki Island

Activity Duration: 45 min

Scuba Diving Timings: 10 AM - 5 PM (Tuesday close)

Scuba Diving in Dawki is a popular water activity done in the Umngot River. Dive in freshwater with a depth ranging from 9 – 10 meters, which would last up to 45 minutes. Training will be provided by the professionals with all the diving gear and equipment before diving into the water & will not lose calm in deep waters. Dawki is a perfect spot for freshwater Scuba Diving for beginners and professionals. If not enough we will give a chance to non-swimmers as well to enjoy the activity keeping in mind all the safety majors.

This experience will witness the beautiful aquatic life in crystal clear water. Umngot river is known as Asia’s cleanest river. Being tucked away from the crowd we provide a peaceful yet adventurous experience. Witness some of the most beautiful corals and marine life with this Scuba Diving experience.4 changing rooms are available near the activity point. Don’t forget to experience local food in small shops & cafes around the island after the activity.

Diving Depth: 10 - 15 meters.

How to Reach the Adventure Spot : 

Shared transport is available from Barabazar in Shillong to the border post at Dawki every morning. Buses are also available for the 70 Km (43 min) journey from Shillong.

Note: Please note that in order to avail of the scuba diving experience at Dawki one needs to be of atleast 11 years of age.

A cash refund may not be applicable for the same.

Dawki Scuba Diving: Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • If cancellations are made within 3-6 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • If cancellations are made within 0-2 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the rental cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

    This activity was handle by the professional guide who taught us well and even gave us some tips on how to dive and how to prepare ourselves for it. It was a bit nervous at first and not sure about myself but the staff and the co-participant encourage and cheer me glad that I did it the experience was good and no words to describe it but it was super extremely great. Wait for no one and experience it yourself.
