- The Garden closes one hour after last entry.
- Last entry changes seasonally.
- Spring & Summer Last Entry: 2nd Sunday in March - September: 6pm.
- Fall & Winter Last Entry: October - Early November: 5pm 1st Sunday in November - January: 4pm February - 2nd Saturday in March: 5pm.
- There are two entrances, the Main Gate near Ninth Avenue, just inside the Park, and the Friend (North) Gate on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, just steps from the Japanese Tea Garden, de Young Museum, and California Academy of Sciences.
- Main Gate opens 7:30am - closes at last entry & Friend (North) Gate opens 9am - closes at last entry.
- No Littering, no pets, no feeding wildlife, no smoking, no picking or stepping on plants, no tree climbing, no playing sports, and no camping.
- All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival.
- Children of age 4 and younger will go free of charge and children between the age of 5-11 years will be charged as per a child ticket. Participants above the age 11 years will be considered an adult. Individuals above the age of 65 years will be charged on a senior price basis.
