Know Before You Go for North Sikkim Tour Package from Gangtok
- By default, we arrange a standard category room while booking unless you specify to receive a different (upgraded) category of rooms for your stay requirements.
- As per state guidelines, travelers wearing a turban are not allowed in Lachen.
- For safety reasons, airport pick up is limited from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If you're arriving later, inform our destination expert in advance to adjust your itinerary and you might need to stay at Siliguri.
- Govt. Approved Photo ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest whereas Driving License will not be considered as a valid address proof.
- Senior citizens and travelers younger than 4 years are not recommended to go to Gurudongmar Lake because of low oxygen levels.
- North Sikkim tourism does not allow infants under 2 years of age, hence visiting North Sikkim is prohibited in such cases.
- Under North East guidelines, vehicles are available for point-to-point transportation only and any change in the itinerary will incur an extra charge, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or state transport rule prohibition.
- The Nathu La Pass charges are not included in the package due to restricted access and limited permits. Payment is required on spot, subject to availability and real-time conditions, as permits can be canceled for security or weather reasons.
- Sumo/ Bolero for its travelers as these vehicles are not allowed in the main market areas of Sikkim. However, if you choose these vehicles then you’ll be dropped at/ picked up from the nearest possible location. You might have to walk or take a union cab (at your own expense) to reach the hotel/ the pickup point.
- Government restrictions prohibit electric room heaters for travelers due to power shortages. Hotels may not have them installed, but they may be available for a fee and subject to availability.
- Foreign nationals are prohibited from visiting Lachen, Baba Mandir, and Nathula Pass for security reasons. Solo travelers are not granted permits for North Sikkim, except those with Indian spouses holding OCI cards. Groups of two or more with an Indian guide can visit Lachung and Tsomgo Lake.
- We will arranges alternate for sightseeing for canceled permits. Customers bear costs of alternative accommodation, as pre-booked hotels are non-refundable.
