Know Before You Go

  • Pick-up from the Guwahati airport and railway station will be before 3 PM as it becomes unsafe for travel on the outskirts. Beyond these timings, you are advised to let Thrillophilia POC know before booking if you are arriving after 3 PM in Guwahati so that Thrillophilia can rearrange your itinerary accordingly as you might have to stay in Guwahati itself.
  • Thrillophilia and the on-ground operator hold full rights to shuffle the itinerary without informing the customer in order to provide the specific property as per the requirement of the customer.
  • All the hotels in Meghalaya serve breakfast by/ after 8 AM. It is advised for the travelers to get ready before 8 AM and start the sightseeing immediately after having breakfast (maximum by 9 AM). This is because Meghalaya has early sunsets and thus it will be difficult to cover the sightseeing places due to low visibility. Thrillophilia may not be responsible to cover all sightseeing points if there is a delay by travelers for any reason.
  • As per North East guidelines, there are restrictions on baggage as the vehicles are not allowed to use luggage carrier. Therefore, it is advised to carry a maximum of one luggage bag per person. Kindly inform the operator prior in case of more luggage.
  • The weather in Meghalaya is very pleasant throughout the year, thus Fans or AC are hardly available at your stays.
  • By default, we arrange a standard category room while booking unless the customer specifies to receive a different category of rooms before booking.
  • As per North East guidelines, vehicles are available on point to point basis only (not on disposal), any deviation in the itinerary would cost an additional amount (unless any issue occurs such as bad weather, Political/social disturbances, roadblocks, VVIP movements & state transport rule prohibition). Before changing the itinerary, you are free to consult with us about the charges.
  • In some regions, it is mandatory to turn off the AC in the vehicle (especially in eco-sensitive areas and hilly regions).
  • GST is applicable to the package and not included in the above cost.
  • The travelers will have to take care of their international airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover.
  • Double Decker Root Bridge is accessible only through Nogriat Trek which is one way more than 3000 steps. It is a steep trek that gets slippery and difficult in monsoon. Children younger than 10 years and Adults elders than 50 years are not recommended to do this trek.
  • Dawki is a remote location and only limited facilities are available. The breakfast options are limited to maggi, snacks, etc and at the Dawki camps, only public/ common washrooms will be available.
