Nagaland & Manipur Overview
About the destination:
Nagaland, one of India's most remote states, is gradually gaining popularity among travellers. It is a land that is remote, magical, and home to a fascinating population, as well as a land that will take you deep into nature. If you're looking for an authentically unique Indian travel experience, Nagaland is the place to go.
Surrounded by nine hills with an oval-shaped valley in the middle, it is a natural made jewel, hence the name "A Jeweled Land" or "Manipur" in English. Manipur was dubbed the "Jewel of India" by India's first Prime Minister. Manipur is a cultural melting pot as well as a natural gift to India. It is the birthplace of both the sport of Polo and the classical dance style of Ras Lila.
