Know Before You Go

  • Travel insurance is not included in the package.
  • Any activities or transfers not specified in the itinerary are not part of the package and require separate arrangements.
  • We recommend carrying a copy of your passport and other forms of identification, such as a driver's license, in case you need to verify your identity during your travels.
  • Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months after your journey ends. Additionally, it should have enough blank pages for entry and exit stamps from each country you plan to visit.
  • We suggest bringing some cash along with at least two major credit cards from different networks. This way, you'll have a backup in case your card is not accepted or is lost.
  • A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required for travel to Kenya. It is also strongly recommended that you get vaccinated for Polio, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus, Rabies, and Meningitis.
  • Entrance fees to Crescent Island are included in the cost for those wishing to visit.
  • There is a risk of malaria in Kenya so consult a healthcare professional before your trip for recommended vaccinations and medications. Generally, it is good practice to avoid mosquito bites by wearing long sleeved, light coloured clothes and wearing a mosquito repellent that contains at least 50% DEET.
  • Kenyan culture is diverse, with various ethnic groups each having their traditions and customs. Respect local customs, dress modestly especially in rural areas and near religious sites, and ask for permission before taking photos of people.
  • The official currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (KES). It is advisable to exchange currency at banks or authorised exchange bureaus.
  • Kenya's climate varies from tropical along the coast to arid in the interior regions. Pack appropriate clothing based on the season and region you're visiting. Kenya experiences two rainy seasons (April to June and October to November), so plan accordingly.
  • Avoid drinking tap water and consuming raw or undercooked foods to prevent stomach illnesses. Stick to bottled or purified water.
  • Kenya banned single-use plastic bags, so leave any carrier bags (and preferably single-use plastic water bottles and straws) at home as your luggage will be scanned. It is advisable that you bring a reusable water bottle from home.
  • It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes (lightweight, neutral-coloured, and breathable) in the colours of beige, khaki, or green during the safari to blend in with the surroundings.
  • Optional internal flights between Nairobi and Diani, or vice versa, are available at an additional cost.
