About the tour:

Darbhanga, the seat of the erstwhile royal family, is the cultural capital of Mithila. One of the richest royalties at its peak, Darbhanga Raj contributed immensely to the cultural and educational development of the region. There are a number of Mithila-style temples spread across the region.

Madhubani Painting has been an age-old tradition that women in the countryside perpetuated as a practice to decorate their huts from outside as well as inside on social and religious occasions. It has evolved from a folk culture tradition into a popular form of Indian art with the wheeling of time. Madhubani art has moved to paper, cloth, and other surfaces. The style originated in northern Bihar, specifically in the Mithila region, known as the birthplace of Sita; and drew inspiration from the Ramayana, nature, and folklore.

During this tour, you will also get to visit various other places like the Shyama Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, Manokamna Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and the Ahilya Asthan that is famous for its reference in the Ramayana.

How to reach?

To reach Patna the nearest airport and Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport and Patna Junction is the nearest railway station that is connected to major metropolitan cities.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Patna to Darbhanga
Arrive at Patna Airport. Meet and greet our representative at the airport and proceed for Darbhanga.
Our representative will make the necessary arrangements for the transfer.
Check-in into the pre-booked hotel at Darbhanga.
After lunch, visit the Darbhanga Royal palaces, Shyama temple, Manokamna temple and Ahilya Asthan.
Return back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 2 - Darbhanga to Patna via Jitwarpur
Start your day by visiting Uchaith Temple and Saurath Saba Gachi.
Proceed towards the village of Jitwarpur, the seat of Padma Shree awardees like Jagdamba Devi, Sita Devi and Baoa Devi.
Get hands-on with the Madhubani artists and learn how this exquisite piece of art is created.
Return back to Patna.

However if some services are not operational due to government guidelines, thrillophilia reserves the right to replace it with other activity.

There are no charges for children below 8 years of age. Extra Bed would be charged on actuals.

All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, etc. are not a part of the package.

Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package.

Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal.

Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed.

Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.

ID proof is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.

All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details before their stay.

Any breakage or damage of any items in the Hotel/Resort will be charged at actuals.

The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

Booking Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking

In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.

Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.
