Know Before You Go

  • We recommend carrying a copy of your passport and other forms of identification, such as a driver's license, in case you need to verify your identity during your travels.
  • Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months after your journey ends. Additionally, it should have enough blank pages for entry and exit stamps from each country you plan to visit.
  • We suggest bringing some cash along with at least two major credit cards from different networks. This way, you'll have a backup in case your card is not accepted or is lost.
  • Many hotels and public places offer Wi-Fi, allowing you to stay connected during your travels. However, please keep in mind that Internet access may be limited in more remote areas.
  • We kindly ask that you seek permission before taking photos of local people, especially children, to show respect for their privacy.
  • Kenya operates primarily on a cash-based economy, and cash transactions can be made in either U.S. dollars or the local currency.
  • Please be aware that Kenya has banned plastic bags, including shopping bags, Ziploc bags, duty-free bags, and bubble wrap. We recommend not bringing these items to the airport, as they may be taken away.
  • Tipping is encouraged but not mandatory. In hotels and restaurants, a 10-15% tip is customary.
  • In case of any new concession fees introduced by parks or local authorities without prior notice, these will not be covered under the package.
  • To ensure a safe and healthy journey, it is advisable to get vaccinated against yellow fever, as this is a requirement for travellers. Carry the International Certificate of Vaccination as proof, as you may be asked to present it upon entry into Kenya.
  • Always maintain a safe distance from animals to ensure both your safety and theirs. Do not attempt to feed, touch, or provoke any wildlife, as this can result in dangerous encounters and interfere with their natural behaviors.
