Day Details: Today is the start of an exciting journey! Your arrival at Nairobi marks the beginning if a fun-filled and adventurous trip! Your first stop will be the Maasai Mara National Park – a land inhabited by various species of exotic animals.

A 5 and a half hour drive will bring you to your destination just in time for lunch. Enjoy a refreshing and sumptuous lunch before you head out again on the first game drive of the trip. Try your luck at getting a peek at wildlife that is rather elusive and subtle. The evening is for you to relax and rejuvenate your senses. Fresh dinner will be served after which you can wind up at an overnight camp.

Day 02: Masai Mara

Day Highlights: Game Drives, The Big5 Spotting

Day Details: If you were unable to sight any animals yesterday, do not fret as here is another day to try your luck! You could set out on a game drive soon after breakfast and explore wildlife in its very own habitat. This is your best chance of sighting the Big 5 – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.

Witness these rare animals go about their daily routine in an environment that is unmatched and unparalleled. You have the option of venturing out the entire day with a picnic lunch. Alternatively, you could return to the camp for a fresh meal and head out for your second game drive of the day!

If you would like to learn of the local history, people and lifestyle you could make a visit to the native Maasai Village at an additional cost of USD 30. The evening is at leisure again for you to spend time at your pace and comfort. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 03: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Day Highlights: Lake Nakuru

Day Details: Set out from Msasai Mara after having seen wild animals from close quarters! Today is your chance to witness their winged counterparts which is why we are head to the Nakuru Lake.

Located in the rift valley of Kenya, the Nakuru Lake is known worldwide to attract the most stunning and rare species of birds. On account of abundance of algae, the Lake is home flamingos besides other species of birds and animals. African Fish Eagle, hamercop and pied Kingfisher are just some of the other birds you may be able to sight at the time of your visit.

The day begins after breakfast, when you will have to undertake a 6 hour drive to reach the Kenya Guest House for lunch. A game drive in the afternoon is time well spent! Acquaint yourself with some of the 300-odd species that make Nakuru Lake their home. Dinner and overnight stay at the Nakuru Guest House.

Day 04: Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

Day Highlights: Your jMaasai Mara and Lake Nakuru tour ends today

Day Details: Venture out on an early morning game drive and take a look at Lake Nakuru by the day! Return for a delicious breakfast, before you head out back to Nairobi – a 3 hour drive approximately. Today is the end of your journey but we are sure that you will be travelling back richer in experience and with happy memories of the trip.

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery

Bordering the Nairobi National Park, the very popular David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery is aimed at rescuing orphaned baby elephants from reserves and parks and offering them a safe shelter. This nursery takes care of the baby elephants and hand rears them until they are mature enough to be put back into the national parks and wildlife reserves.

Karen Blixen Museum

Built by a Swedish engineer, back in the year 1912, the museum is left open for the general public on all days, who can take part in guided tours of the museum. Highlights: The museum features décor items which date back to its original Timings, as well as certain props. Giraffe Centre

Karura Forest
