Khauli Pass Trek

Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  Bhuntar - Manihar - Jammu Nala (2800 mts / 4-5 hrs trek)

  Report in Bhuntar at 8:00 AM.

  After you freshen up and have the breakfast at Bhuntar, leave in the Tempo traveller / Jeep for Manihar (around 30 kms).

  The route is beautiful and for most part, one travels alongside river Beas. Once you are ready to move after quick snacks, start your trek from Pancha where a water project work is on.

  Immediately after starting the trek, one can feel the dense forest with a sudden coldness in the air. Jammu Nala (our camp site) is a trek alongside the Pancha Nala for 3-4 hrs

• Day 2 -

  Jammu Nala to Grahan via Khauli Pass (max 3750 mts / 6-7 hrs trek)

  Post breakfast, head for today's target - Grahan.

  Start early in the morning today for crossing the pass at the time of sunrise as we witness the Indrasan, Friendship and Hanuman tibba peaks with the first rays of sunshine.

  Reach Padri by afternoon and asses if we have enough time to move to Grahan to day else we camp here itself.

  Another amenable walk down the Garahan Nala to Padri camp ground on a meadow.

  Reach Padari by evening followed by Bon fire and Camping at the night.

• Day 3 -

  Grahan to Kasol (2280 mts / 3-4 hrs trek)- Bhuntar - Delhi

  Today the target of the day is easy and hence the morning can be a bit lazy.

  Start the day on the descent along the Grahan Nala and move towards Kasol from where you'll touch the road head to Bhunter.

  The lunch is packed today that we have just before reaching the road head. From here, we take the taveller/jeep back to Bhuntar.

  Road distance would be 30 Kms.p
