Know Before You Go

  • Kindly carry a valid photo ID proof. All foreign nationals must carry their passport as a proof of identity.
  • Please note that meals at restaurants or cafes are not included in the package.
  • Be aware that the cost of the visa is not covered by the package and must be obtained separately.
  • Listen to your guide attentively and follow safety instructions to maximise your safari experience.
  • It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes (lightweight, neutral-coloured, and breathable) in the colours of beige, khaki, or green during the safari to blend in with the surroundings. Also, carry sunscreen and a hat.
  • A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required for travel to Kenya. It is also strongly recommended that you get vaccinated for Polio, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus, Rabies, and Meningitis.
  • Images are for representation purposes only.
  • There is a risk of malaria in Kenya so consult a healthcare professional before your trip for recommended vaccinations and medications. Generally, it is good practice to avoid mosquito bites by wearing long sleeved, light coloured clothes and wearing a mosquito repellent that contains at least 50% DEET.
  • Kenyan culture is diverse, with various ethnic groups each having their traditions and customs. Respect local customs, dress modestly especially in rural areas and near religious sites, and ask for permission before taking photos of people.
  • Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities and tourist areas. However, it is recommended to carry some cash.
  • The official currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (KES). It is advisable to exchange currency at banks or authorised exchange bureaus.
  • Kenya's climate varies from tropical along the coast to arid in the interior regions. Pack appropriate clothing based on the season and region you're visiting. Kenya experiences two rainy seasons (April to June and October to November), so plan accordingly.
  • Avoid drinking tap water and consuming raw or undercooked foods to prevent stomach illnesses. Stick to bottled or purified water.
  • Kenya banned single-use plastic bags, so leave any carrier bags (and preferably single-use plastic water bottles and straws) at home as your luggage will be scanned. It is advisable that you bring a reusable water bottle from home.
  • It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance. Please note that the travel insurance is not included in the package price.
